Regret. Chapter 1

After school, Miku went to Rin’s house to hang out. Before she knew it, it was almost 8pm and it was dark outside. Rin’s parents weren’t home from work yet, and they wouldn’t be till much later, and Miku’s brother, Mikuo was out on a business trip. Ever since both of Miku’s parents died, Mikuo took both their places in providing for both of them and she admired him so much for that. She only had one choice, and that was to go walking home.

“But it’s so dark outside, and your house isn’t so close” Rin protested at the idea of Miku walking in the dark of the evening, alone.

“Haha, I’ll be fine, I’ve done it before.”Miku said to Rin trying to ease her up a bit,

“I’ll go with you!”

“What difference does that make? You’ll be the one walking back home alone.” Miku replied.

“Bu-“Miku cut her off.

“Rin, it’s pointless, plus, I’ll be fine, don’t worry about it.” You said smiling.

“Can’t you just sleep over?” Rin continued to protest.

“Your parents dislike it when people sleep over, and I also can’t stay, there is school tomorrow.” Miku replied. She really didn’t want to sleep over at Rin’s house, she hates sleeping on the hard floor, and she feels like Rin’s parents don’t like her for some reason. She also likes sleeping in her own bed, it’s more comfortable.

Miku grabs her school bag and heads for the door.

“Rin, I’ll be fine. I’ll text you when I get home, ok?” Miku said as she hugged Rin good bye.

“*sigh* Okay…”Rin frowned as she hugged Miku back.

Miku opened the door and started walking outside.

“Love ya! I’ll text you!” Miku said as she waved her hand over her head while she kept walking.

“Love you too! Be careful!! I’ll be waiting for your text!” Rin shouted and waved back at her dear friend. As soon as Miku turned her back to Rin, she closed the door.
